This is a portrait of Brian Molko, the leader of the band Placebo. He is extremely pretty man (yes, he is male) and like my brother say, "has the power to turn even the straightest guy a bit on the gay side", lol. I've always thought he is terribly beautiful, too beautiful to not try to paint him...and so I did. I used some of his photos as a referance, but rather than just tracing tried to paint an elina-like version of him. Heh. All done with Photoshop.
p.s. Good band too, Placebo I mean. Go and listen  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. The painting has a feel of surrealism over that I really like.. the colours and his away-turned gaze is a very nice touch. He looks a bit angelice really.. I especially liked the way you did his eyes. He seems blissful, yet he seems to be mourning something. Or someone. Eyh, what do I know, it's you painting. Good job!
